Edward C. Kronberg, age 73, of 1114 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning,
March 14, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 1996, at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating
at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Carl Meulemans with burial to follow
at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born January 17, 1923, in Tigerton, Wis., son of the late Edward W. and
Martina Christiansen Kronberg. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving
during World War II. On Aprli 28, 1946, he married the former Elena Martirani in
Caserta, Italy. Mr. Kronberg was employed at the Mirro company from 1948 to 1983,
retiring as Retail Sales Manager. He was a former County Board Supervisor and also
served on various committees at St. Paul's Catholic Church and Holy Innocents
Catholic Church. Mr. Kronberg was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elena Kronberg, Manitowoc; four sons and daughters-in-
law, Ed and JoAnne Kronberg, North Carolina, Ken and Peggy Kronberg, Valders,
Gerald and Gail Kronberg, New York, Dr. Steve and Dr. Elaine Kronberg, Michigan;
two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ardis and Lloyd Kerscher, Manitowoc, Betsy and
Jerry DuMontier, Sheboygan. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Edward,
Christopher, Tracy, Rachel; one great-granddaughter, Shayna; along with nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by
two sisters, Norma and Maybelle.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday where a prayer
service will be held at 5:30 p.m. by Father Carl.
