August Carl Krueger, 88, of 936 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died early Saturday
morning at Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for the last nine
days.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church Chapel,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Vernon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mr. Krueger was born March 4, 1873, at Sogges Corners, Manitowoc, son of the
late John and Marie Medaus Krueger. He married Lillian Bishop June 8, 1920,
at Seymour and the couple made its home at Manitowoc where it celebrated its
50th wedding anniversary in 1960.
Mr. Krueger was a pioneer well-driller in Manitowoc County and a member of
First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Leroy of Wyman, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs.
Joseph Wellner of Rt. 2, Manitowoc and Mrs. Edward Wier of Green Bay and eight
grandchildren. A sister and four brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until
10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church chapel where the
body will be in state until the hour of service.
Memorials may be sent to the church.
