Ruben (sic) J. Krueger, 61, of 514 S. 31st, Manitowoc, died Friday evening at
his home following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church, the Rev.
Donald T. Stannard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 12, 1897, at Reedsville, son of the late Henry and Anna Weisner
Krueger.
He married the former Margaret Wiltgen in 1922 at Manitowoc. The couple operated
a farm in the Town of Schleswig until 1951, then moving to Manitowoc. Until the
time of his illness, he was employed by Aluminum Specialty Co.
He was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood of the Bethel Methodist Church in the
Town of Schleswig and a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of Manitowoc.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Meyer of Oshkosh and Mrs.
Philip Kechefski of Manitowoc; five brothers, Ervin and Clarence of Manitowoc,
Oscar of Plymouth, Benjamin of Luxemberg and George of Valders; and a sister,
Mrs. Leland Kaufmann of Chicago. A daughter, Karen, preceded him in death in
1951.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Sunday until 10:20
a.m. Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the
hour of service.
