Wilbur Krueger, 69, of 334 Johnston St., Denmark, died Wednesday evening, August 19, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Krueger was born April 10, 1912, at Reedsville, son of the late Walter and Martha Rohrbach Krueger. He was graduated from Reedsville High School and Manitowoc County Teachers College. He married Edith Goldie March 18, 1935. Mr. Krueger taught in rural Manitowoc County schools and later farmed in the Town of Cato, where he was active in community affairs. He retired in 1971. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Men's Club of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Russell Krueger of Stevens Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Grace K.M. and Loren Maruga of Two Rivers; two grandsons, Douglas Meneau and Danny Meneau and his wife, Cindy; a step-grandson, Kevin Maruga; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tomachek of Green Bay, Elaine Krueter of Reedsville and Jean Larson of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. His parents, two sons, Joseph and Lieutenant Dean Krueger and a brother, Lester, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home, Reedsville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
