CHARLES WM. KRUG

Charles Krug, 74, Dies at Chicago
Charles Krug, 74, vice president of the Aluminum Specialty company, and
identified with the aluminum industry here and at Chilton for 40 years, died
Sunday at the home of a daughter in Chicago.
Mr. Krug, who with his brother, the late Emil Krug, started the business here
in 1909, had not been in the best of health for several months. Recently he
went to Chicago to consult specialists.
Funeral services will be held at Chilton, probably on Wednesday, with burial
in Evergreen cemetery in this city.
He was born in this city and 40 years ago with his brother, Emil, founded the
Aluminum Specialty company in the old Glover building, York and North Sixth
streets. Later the plant was expanded and moved to the present location in the
fifth ward.
When the company built a plant at Chilton in 1919, Mr. Krug went there as manager
and became a vice president of the company. He made his home in Chilton since
then.
His survivors include his wife, the former Luella Peterson of this city; a son,
Edward of San Francisco; and two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Puntenney and Mrs. Alice
Petithomme, both of Chicago.
The body has been returned to a Chilton funeral home.
