Mrs. John Krumdick, 74, died Friday evening at the home of a son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gadzinski, 3616 MacArthur Dr., Manitowoc, where
she had been residing.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phipps Memorial Chapel of First
Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Erna Wills was born July 8, 1889, at Hurley, Wis., daughter of the
late Edward and Catherine Nuhs Wills. She came to Manitowoc as a girl with her
parents where she was graduated from Manitowoc Business College before going
to Milwaukee to be employed for a number of years at Johns-Manville Co. She
was married at Milwaukee April 10, 1915, to John Krumdick. The couple returned
to Manitowoc where Mrs. Krumdick was employed as an office worker and nurse at
Shady Lane Home.
Mrs. Krumdick was a member of Senior Citizens Club, Manitowoc Vocational
Homemakers and First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Gadzinski of Manitowoc; a son, Jack of
Athol, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Wegner and Mrs. Frank Richey of Port
Clinton, Ohio and Mrs. H. Neubert of Oconomowoc; two brothers, Howard of
Watertown and Henry; and five grandchildren. A brother, Elmer, a sister, Mrs.
William Fricke, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the chapel where
the body will lie in state until time of services.
