MRS. KRUMDICK DIES, 80 YEARS
Pioneer Resident of County, Mother of CWA Leader
Mrs. Daniel Krumdick, 80, a pioneer resident of the county, died
suddenly Sunday afternoon at the home of her son, John Krumdick,
county CWA director, in Manitowoc Rapids. She made her home with
him for the past three years.
Mrs. Krumdick who was hale and harty despite her four score years,
arose and ate breakfast as usual Sunday morning and went to her
room to rest at the noon hour. She was stricken suddenly with the
heart attack and died in a few minutes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home with interment at Evergreen.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Mary Havlinek, was born in
Bohemia 80 years ago and at the age of 13 years came to this country
with her parents. The family located in the town of Kossuth where she
was married to Daniel Krumdick 64 years ago. They made their home on
a farm in the town, but 45 years ago came to this city.
In this city Mr. Krumdick was employed as a warehouseman for many years.
Mr. and Mrs. Krumdick celebrated their golden wedding anniversary 14
years ago. Mr. Krumdick died seven years ago.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Charles A. Groffman, city; a son, John
Krumdick, Manitowoc Rapids; two brothers, Frank Havlinek of Francis
Creek and John of King's Bridge, five grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home up to the hour of the
burial services.
