Carpenter At Shipyards For Many Years Dies At 78
John Krumm, 78, a carpenter at the shipyards here for nearly 50 years, died
early this morning at the family home, 1123 South 13th street. He had been in
failing health since early spring. Funeral arrangemens have not been completed
but will probably be held on Monday from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral
home.
The deceased was born in Germany in 1853 and came to this country with his
parents when a boy. Growing to manhood, he took up the carpenter trade and
entered the employ of the shipyards where he continued until he retired two
years ago. He was married 32 years ago to Augusta Tetzlaff who survives him
with two sisters, Mrs. ____ Haukohl? of Eagle Grove, ___ and Mrs. James Sweet
of Los Angeles, Calif.
