JACOB W. KUBICHKA
Jacob W. Kubichka, 75, of 1224 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 659 in
conjunction with the World War I Barracks. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Kubichka was born July 20, 1895, at Podoli, Czechoslovakia, son of the late
Matt and Marie Soukup Kubichka. He came to the United States with his parents
at the age of eight. He was a veteran of World War I, serving overseas. He
married Anna Fidler Feb. 3, 1920, at Manitowoc. The couple located in North
Dakota until 1925 when they returned to Manitowoc. Mr. Kubichka was a member
of the W.W.I. Barracks, the V.F.W., American Legion, Eagles Club, ZCBJ Lodge
and the Boilermakeers Local No. 443. He had been employed at Manitowoc
Shipbuilding Inc., until his retirement in 1960. His wife preceded him in death
in 1966.
Survivors include a son, four brothers, Louis of Cooperstown, Anton of Taus,
Charles of Tacoma, Wash., and Frank of Shoto; 10 grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren. A daughter, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon where
a memorial service will be at 8 o'clock by the V.F.W. and tWorld War I Barracks.
