Mrs. Agnes Kuchera, 66, native of Manitowoc and a resident of Wausau for the
last 30 years, died at the Holy Family hospital in this city at 8:30 o'clock
Sunday night. She was the wife of Joseph Kuchera.
Mrs. Kuchera was taken ill shortly after the first of the year. Two weeks ago
she was removed to this city in an ambulance.
Before her marriage June 10, 1895, she was Agnes Roemer, daughter of the late
Jacob Roemer, who was a partner in the Rand-Roemer hardware store. She was born
in this city July 17, 1872. The family moved to Wausau about 30 years ago where
Mr. Kuchera was employed as a traveling salesman for a hardware firm.
Survivors are the widower, four daughters, Mrs. C.J. Robb of Seattle, Wash.;
Mrs. Caesar S?uelcken, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. G. Dippmann, Chicago; and Marie T.
Kuchera, Manitowoc; three sons, John J., Manitowoc; Charles J., Wausau; and
William P., Milwaukee; one brother, Richard Q. Roemer, Alameda, Cal.; one sister,
Mrs. William Kappes, Columbus, O.; and eight grandchildren.
She was a member of St. James Catholic church and St. Monica's Guild at Wausau.
The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral home from 7 o'clock tonight
until the hour of the funeral. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m.
at the funeral home and at 9:30 at St. Boniface church. The Rev. Anthony Jaeckle
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
