JOSEPH KUCHERA

Joseph Kuchera, 73, a native of this county, and for years a salesman for a
Milwaukee firm, with headquarters at Wausau, died early today at the home of
his son, William, in Milwaukee. He has been in failing health the past five
years.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Pfeffer funeral home
and at nine o’clock from the St. Boniface church, the Rev. J. H. Schmitt offic-
iating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Kuchera was born in Franklin, this county in 1871, and in 1895 married Miss
Agnes Roemer, daughter of the late Jacob Roemer, pioneer Manitowoc hardware
merchant. She died in 1939. Mr. Kuchera was a traveling salesman for the Pritzlaff
Hardware company of Milwaukee, with headquarters at Wausau. He retired from active
work a few years ago when taken ill and lived here for a time, after residing at
Wausau 35 years. Later he moved to Milwaukee. He was a member of the United
Commercial Travelers.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Claire Robb of San Manteo, Calif., Mr. Caesar
Stuechen, McLean, Vir.; Mrs. G. M. Dippmann, Elmwood Park, Ill.; Miss Marie Kuchera
of this city; three sons, John of this city, Charles of Wausau, and William, of
Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Truba, of Elmhurst, Ill., Mrs. George Kutil,
of route 5, Manitowoc; and nine grandchildren.
The body will be brought to the Pfeffer funeral home from Milwaukee and the rosary
will be recited Sunday evening at 7:30.
