HOWARD A. KUECKER

Howard A. Kuecker, 61, who resided with a sister and brother-in-law at 2509
Lincoln Ave., Two Rivers, died Wednesday evening at Bellin Hospital, Green
Bay.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. David A. Passet will officiate with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military graveside services will be accorded Mr. Kuecker
by VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659 of Manitowoc.
Mr. Kuecker was born Nov. 17, 1915, at Manitowoc, son of the late Leonard and
Emma Otto Kuecker. He was reared at Manitowoc and was graduated from Lincoln
High School in 1934 before entering military service, Mr. Kuecker sailed as a
steward on the Great Lakes. From 1942 to 1945, he served in the U.S. Army in
the South Pacific. He reenlisted in the army in 1947 and served until 1967 in
Korea, Germany and Greenland. During his later years in service he was a
recruiting officer in Texas and after retirement worked for the City of Two
Rivers as a custodian at several Two Rivers Public Schools. Mr. Kuecker was
a member of VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659 and Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, (private), a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and
Harold Zermuehlen, of Two Rivers; two nieces, Mrs. Alan (Lois) Halverson
and Mrs. Keith (Margaret) Kriese, of Two Rivers and a special friend, Marilyn
Vande Avand of Green Bay.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Ninth Street Chapel,
Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church from 12:30 p.m. Saturday
until the time of service.
