Carter W. Kuhl, 81, of 1222A Washington St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon
in Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in
Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore Hendricks will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kuhl was born Nov. 27, 1896 in Manitowoc, son of the late Nicholas J. and
Marguerite Hagerty Kuhl. He attended Manitowoc schools, graduating in 1914 from
Northside High School. Following his graduation he worked with his father in the
family shoe store until 1953. He was then a real estate broker until the time of
his death. He married Alma Heinzen Oct. 6, 1919 in Alverno. They resided in
Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1977.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Carter (Fritz) and Mary Kuhl of
Greenfield and a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Max Tauschek of South
Euclid, Ohio; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A brother and
sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday until
the time of service. A memorial has been established in his name.
