Charles M. Kuhl Sr., 76, of 314 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Monday morning at home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kuhl was born Oct. 7, 1894, at Manitowoc, son of the late Nicholas and
Margaret Haggerty Kuhl. He graduated from West High School, Manitowoc, in
1914. He worked for his father in the Kuhl Shoe Store on Quay Street and in
1931 opened his own shoe store at 314 N. Eighth St. He married Alma Lohse
May 28, 1918, at Manitowoc. Mr. Kuhl was a member of the United Commercial
Travelers.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Charles Jr., of Manitowoc and William
of Niles, Ohio, a daughter, Miss Elaine, of Manitowoc, a brother, Carter, of
Manitowoc and 10 grandchildren. A son, a daughter and a sister preceded him
in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
