Thomas Kukal, 78, retired farmer, died suddenly Sunday night at his home in Francis Creek of a heart attack. Mr. Kukal had attended a county league ball game Sunday afternoon at Francis Creek and the excitement of the game is believed to have brought on the attack.
The game was between Francis Creek and Cleveland, which the latter team won by 5 to 4 by scoring four runs in the last inning.
Mr. Kukal had supper and retired to his room. An hour later he was stricken and died in a few minutes.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born in Kossuth and farmed in the town until 19 years ago when he retired and moved to the village of Francis Creek. He married Miss Katharine Matjowitz, Kossuth, 48 years ago. She died seven years ago.
Survivors are a son, John, Francis Creek ; and a sister, Mrs. Albert Havlichek, Franklin. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tuesday noon until the hour of the services.
