GUSTAVE KUMMER (d. 1938)
Gustave Kummer, Sr., 79, died last night at the home route 5, Manitowoc,
after a week's illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Pfeffer funeral
home and at nine o'clock from the Holy Innocents church. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Kummer was born at Kossuth in 1859 and 45 years ago married Miss Margaret
Holsen. They located at Manitowoc Rapids. Mr. Kummer was a well-known musician
and for 15 years was a member of the Manitowoc Marine band.
Mr. Kummer died 15 years ago.
Survivors are two son (sic), Emil, city; Gustave, Jr., route 5, Manitowoc;
daughter, Mrs. Rose Elliott, city; brother, Emil, city; three sisters, Mrs.
Jacob Holsen and Mrs. Joseph Holsen, city, Mrs. Anna Ross, Green Bay; step-
sister, Mrs. Julia Gleich, city; and seven grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from this evening until the time
of the services Thursday.
