Raymond W. Kummer, age 74, of 1338 S. 20th St., Manitowoc, died
unexpectedly Sunday, April 24, 1999 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family funeral Home, Manitowoc, with burial of his
cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Raymond was born Nov. 7, 1924, at Manitowoc, son of the late Emil and
Carrie Staudinger Kummer. He grew up and was educated at Manitowoc, and
is a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was employed at Copp's
Food Center prior to his retirement.
Ray married Marion M. Barnes on June 1, 1951, at St. Boniface Catholic
Church. Marion preceded him in death Aug. 23, 1997. Ray enjoyed
gardening, loved animals and enjoyed classical music.
Surviving children include Alexander of Manitowoc; Darlene and Nick
Biello, Two Rivers; Donna Urban, Manitowoc; Daniel Kummer, Manitowoc;
David Kummer, Manitowoc; and Allen Kummer, Manitowoc. Surviving
grandchildren include Tracy and Travis Maurer, Tim Plunke, Brenda,
Heather and Katline Urban, Becky Kummer, Joshua and Jacob Jentich; along
with great grand-daughter Jasmine Maurer.
Also surviving are three brothers Harold and Evelyn Kummer and Eugene
and Carol Kummer of Manitowoc, along with Dennis Kummer of Two Rivers; a
sister, Arlene Erdmann of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
