Frank Kunish, 72, of 806 Columbus St., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon at
his home following a lingering illness. He was a veteran retired postal service
employe.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Kunish was born at Zander on July 21, 1882, and came as a young boy with his
parents to Manitowoc. On May 15, 1906, he married Minnie Ristow. He was engaged
as a tailor until 1907 when he entered the federal postal service. In that
capacity, he opened parcel post delivery in Manitowoc. Mr. Kunish retired in
1950.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Erdman Marquart of Manitowoc; a son,
Col. Lester Kunish of Ogden, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Posvic of Manitowoc; and
four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
