JOHN KUNISH, JEWELER, DIES AT AGE OF 28
Well Known South Side Young Man Die After Long Illness
SERIOUSLY ILL FOR ONE WEEK
John Kunish, a well known south side man, for eight years employed at the
Liebenow and Koehler jewelry store, died at his home, 1225 South Tenth street,
Sunday evening, just two days before his twenty-eighth birthday anniversary.
Mr. Kunish had long been a sufferer from diabetes but only during the last week
had his condition become serious and forced him to take to his bed. He was at
his bench at the Koehler store up to ten days ago, but for several days before
his death hope of his recovery had been abandoned and the end Sunday evening
was not unexpected.
The death of Mr. Kunish is pathetically sad. Wedded less than a year ago, Mr.
Kunish leaves to mourn his death a widow and infant babe, the child being but
two months old. The sympathy of many friends will go out to the bereaved family.
Mr. Kunish was born in Gibson, March 31, 1886, and had made his home in this
city since early youth. He is a son of Matthew Kunish and a brother of Frank
Kunish, parcel post mail carrier, and of Emil Kunish, Washington street tailor.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from the late home on Tenth street.
