ELIZABETH KUNZ (d. 1953)
Mrs. Florian J. Kunz, 79, of 608 Huron St., Manitowoc, lifelong resident
of the county, died Sunday at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Urbanek and
Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart
Catholic church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L.M. Schorn will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Elizabeth Kealey in 1874 on a farm near Branch, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kealey. Her parents moved to Manitowoc later
and she engaged in dressmaking in Manitowoc. In 1904 she was married to Mr.
Kunz. Mrs. Kunz was a charter member of the Altar Society of Sacred Heart
congregation. Mr. Kunz died in 1945.
Surviving are a son, Godfrey of Manitowoc;; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence
Zmeskel and Miss Alice Kunz of Manitowoc, Mrs. Charles Kelley of Sheboygan;
sister, Miss Clara Kealey of Manitowoc; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the rosary
will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
