John J. La Brecque, age 63, of 4919 Morgan Dr., Manitowoc, died Friday
morning February 19, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 1999,
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery of his cremated remains. Otto-Oas
VFW Post #659 of Manitowoc will provide military graveside services.
Mr. La Brecque was born November 16, 1935, in North Adams, Mass., son of
the late Ralph Major and Mary Ellen Haggerty La Brecque. John grew up in
Los Angeles, Calif., graduating from High School in Los Angeles and also
graduated from Valley College in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a United
States Army veteran serving in the Korean War from 1952 to 1955. On
November 20, 1964, he was married to Marjorie Lee Krejcie in North
Hollywood, Calif. John worked as a security guard for the Bank of
America, in California and also for the Compton Court House. The couple
moved to Manitowoc in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, Manitowoc; one son, Andrew La
Brecque, Page, Ariz.; one daughter, Kathryn La Brecque, Northglen,
Colo.; three grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include,
Robert (Evelyn) Krejcie, Manitowoc, Virginia (Kenneth) Bureau,
Minneapolis, Minn., Bernadette (Richard) Lambert, Manitowoc; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death
by his step-father, Emilio Benvenuti and one brother, Bernard La Brecque.
Relatives and friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church on
Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
