DIES AFTER A 3-DAY ILLNESS
Albert LaCosse Succumbs In Milwaukee; Funeral Here
Albert J. LaCosse, 57, former Manitowoc business man, died this morning at his
home in Milwaukee, where he has resided in recent years. He was ill only three
days. Mr. LaCosse’s death was the third in the family in less than a month.
Three weeks ago Caesar LaCosse, a brother, died. A week ago Joseph LaCosse,
the father, died.
Funeral Services Here
The body is to be brought to Manitowoc or burial. Funeral services will be held
either Monday or Tuesday.
Mr. LaCosse was born in Kaukauna ______ in that city. In 1910 in married Miss
Bessie Nelson in this city. They moved to Lander, Wyom., where Mr. LaCosse was
in business for a year. Returning to ___ city, he established the A.J. LaCosse
company and opened a store on North Eighth street handling office equipment and
supplies.
While residing here Mr. LaCosse was president of the Eagles lodge. He was chairman
of the executive committee of the order in charge of the state convention of
Eagles held in Manitowoc.
Moved to Marinette
A few years later Mr. LaCosse became a chiropractor and moved to Marinette where
he established a practice. After a few years in that city he moved to Milwaukee
where he has since resided.
Mrs. LaCosse died in this city three years ago after a lingering illness.
Survivors are a daughter, Olive, Milwaukee; two sons, Robert, Milwaukee; and Paul,
city; and a brother, Frank, Milwaukee.

Funeral Services For A. J. LaCosse Tuesday
The body of A. J. LaCosse, former Manitowoc business man who died at Milwaukee
Saturday, arrived in Manitowoc this afternoon and was taken to the funeral home
of Wattawa, Urbanek & Schlei. It may be viewed there this evening.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home and at
9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Miss Nelson Resigns as Assistant Postmaster to Become a Bride
With the announcement of the resignation of Miss Elizabeth J. Nelson as assistant
post master, which was presented Saturday, comes the announcement of her approaching
marriage to Albert LaCosse, formerly of Kaukauna, now a resident of this city,
Wednesday, Aug. 4. Miss Nelson has been an employee of the local post office for ten
years, during most of which time she has served as assistance to the postmaster and
her retirement was a surprise. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horal Nelson, N.
Ninth Street, and by her courteous and attentive manner as an official has won a host
of friends and admirers. Mr. LaCosse is an employe of the C & N.W. Railway Co., as a
brakeman on the run on the Green Bay extension from this city to Eland Jct. Daily.
Miss Nelson has been absent from the post office on her annual vacation and returned
from the Caves at Cooperstown Friday to present her resignation to the postal
authorities. The wedding will be a quiet one and Mr. LaCosse and his bride will go
to the coast on their honeymoon.
