Mrs. William (Amanda) Ladwig, 89, formerly of 1132 New York Ave., died Tuesday evening, November 23, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sheridan, Wyo.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank will offiicate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Ladwig was born Nov. 19, 1893, at Kaukauna, Wis., daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Ploeckelmann Ellermann. She was educated in Mishicot. She was married to William Ladwig June 28, 1916, at Manitowoc. The couple resided here all their lives. He preceded her in death in 1965. Mrs. Ladwig was a life member of Manitowoc Historical Society and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Jim McLain of Tucson, Ariz. and Harriett and John Dickmann of Whittier, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Olson of Milwaukee and Mrs. Margaret Mraz of Manitowoc; six grandchilren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and seven sisters.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Salvation Army.
