Elaine H. Ladwig, age 72, of 531 West Lawn Blvd, Manitowoc, died
Thursday May
13, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, 1999, at St.
Paul's
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
officiated by
Rev. Ronald Reimer. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born June 16, 1926, in Kellnersville, Wis., daughter of the late
Frank and Emma Wattawa Swetlik. Elaine attended schools in Manitowoc and
graduated with the class of 1945 from Lincoln High School. She married
Milton
F. Ladwig on July 2, 1949, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The
couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July of this
year. Elaine was a life long member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, The
Adoration Society, Christian Women and The Disabled Veteran's Auxiliary.
She
enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Milton F. Ladwig, Manitowoc; two sisters,
Marcella Lemberger, Whitelaw, Mary Ann Gillingham, New Richmond, Wis.; one
brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Clarence Ladwig, Manitowoc, Caroline
Ladwig, Manitowoc, Olive Thomas, New Martonsville, W.Va.; special friend,
Grace Vetter, Manitowoc; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends
also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one
brother,
Raymond Chasensky.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Reinbold &
Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Adoration Society will pray the
rosary at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends may also call from 10 a.m. until the
time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
