Evelyn M. Ladwig, age 86, formerly of 526 S. 32nd St., Manitowoc, died
Friday morning, April 2, 1999, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation
Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at First
Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Manny will
officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born February 25, 1913, at Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late
Henry and Julia Knutson Frasch. She grew up in Two Rivers attending
local schools, graduating from Washington High School. She also attended
the Manitowoc County Normal School. She married Earl K. Ladwig September
2, 1933 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Earl preceded
her in death May 29, 1992. Evelyn worked for the Pleuss Realty and
Manitowoc Mutual Insurance Co. for many years. She loved bowling, music,
rosemaling and rug weaving. She is a friend of First Reformed United
Church of Christ, past president of the Eagles Auxiliary #706 and a
former member of the Manitowoc Organ Club. She was also a past president
of the Two Rivers Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jan Ladwig,
Miami, Flor.; one daughter, Judy A. Ladwig, Manitowoc; four
grandchildren, Dr. Michael Ladwig and his wife, Christine, Richmond
Hill, Ga., Erich Ladwig and his wife, Jenny, Manitowoc, Glenn Ladwig,
Gainesville, Flor., Darin Ladwig, Miami, Flor.; one sister, Eleanor
Hein, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; one
sister and four brothers.
Friends may call at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc on
Tuesday, from 12 noon until the time of services at 1 p.m.
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.
