George W. Ladwig, 68, (above) of 2413 Liberty Place, died yesterday at the Holy
Family hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral
home, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Ladwig was born in 1880 in Manitowoc. He was a painting contractor. In 1908
he married Agatha Kraemer of Sheboygan.
Survivors are the wife; five daughters, Mrs. John Jones Jr., of Quonset Point, R.I.,
Mrs. William Thomas of Endicott, W.Va., Dorothy and Carolyn at home, and Mrs. Harold
Kallies of South Bend, Ind.; three sons, Earl, Milton and Clarence of Manitowoc;
seven sisters, Mrs. Casper Leglar, Mrs. Helen Wilhelms, Mrs. August Kramer, Mrs.
George Hauck and Miss Elsie of Milwaukee, Mrs. Alfred Pitts of South Bend, Ind., Mrs.
Charles Schrimpf of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after noon on Sunday.
