MRS. F. LADWIG CALLED TODAY AT AGE OF 73
Mrs. Fred Ladwig, nee Pingel, passed away at the family home, 1315 Division
street early today, aged 73, death following a breakdown due to complications
and infirmities of age. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30
from the home and at 2 o’clock from the German Lutheran church, the Rev.
Machmiller officiating.
Mrs. Ladwig was born July 26, 1854 and had spent most of her life here. She is
survived by eight children, Mrs. Casper Legler, Mrs. John Wilhelms, Mrs. August
Kramer, Mrs. George Hanks, all of Chicago; Mrs. Alfred Pitts, Fond du Lac; Mrs.
Charles Schrimpf, Mrs. George Ladwig and Miss Elsie Ladwig, of this city. One
sister, Mrs. Caroline Stopper, of Pasadena, Cal., and two brothers, Fred Pingel,
of Wayside and Henry Pingel, of Daggett, Mich., also survive and there are
fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren surviving.
