DEATH ARRIVES FOR A PIONEER
Mrs. Ida Lambrecht Is Dead at 78 Years
Mrs. Ida Lambrecht, 78, died at the home of her sister, Miss Doris Dumke,
919 North Eighth street Sunday. Mrs. Lambrecht was born on November 20,
1852 and spent all of her girlhood and young womanhood in the county. She
was one of the pioneer residents of the town of Newton. Before her marriage
to Erich Lambrecht in 1881 she was Ida Dumke. Shortly after he marriage she
left the city with her husband and lived in southern Wisconsin and Michigan
for some time. For the past three years Mrs. Lambrecht and her son had made
their home in California, but came back to the city last summer and had made
her home with Miss Doris Dumke since that time. She had been in failing
health for a number of months. She is survived by one son, Bernhard Lambrecht
of Mt. Calvary and one sister, Miss Doris Dumke. Funeral services will be
held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Vogelsang Funeral home, the Rev.
Otto A Menke of the First Reformed church officiating. Burial will be at
Evergreen. The body may be viewed tonight 7 to 9 at the Vogelsang Funeral
home.
