Anita Landis was born Anita Esther LaMarche to parents Fred John and Helen "Nellie" M. (Kehoe) LaMarche on April 4, 1906. Anita had six siblings born of her father's first wife, Nellie Kehoe: Fred J., Helen M., Basil, Esther M., Robert and Victor A. LaMarche. Her mother, Nellie, died in 1917 and her father, Fred LaMarche, married second wife, Georgia Ida Travers, in 1917. There were no children by this second marriage.
Anita married Albert C. "Tex" Leu, Sr. They had three children: a daughter and two sons. Baby Audrey Anna Leu died shortly after birth (1930). Albert C. Leu, Jr. (1931-2010) married and had a son and two daughters. A third son married and had two sons and a daughter.
Anita's mother, Ester (Goulette) LaMarche, predeceased her in 1934. Her father, Fred J. LaMarche, also predeceased her in 1953. Both parents are buried at Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London, Wisconsin.
