FORMER CO. PIONEER DIES AT MILWAUKEE
Anton Langenkamp, pioneer settler and business man of Manitowoc county, died
at his home at Milwaukee yesterday, the demise being due to infirmities incident
to old age. Mr. Langenkamp was past eighty-one. The body will be brought to this
city Monday morning by motor and services will be held at the Masonic temple at
10:30 in the morning. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Langenkamp was a
member of the Two Rivers lodge and officers of his home lodge and the Manitowoc
lodge will officiate at the services.
Mr. Langenkamp was born in Germany but came to this country as a young man. With
a brother, Bernard, he for many years conducted the brewery at Tisch Mills. He
was married here to Miss Antonette Rechycygl who preceded him in death twenty-four
years ago. The family lived in this city for a number of years but has resided at
Milwaukee for a long time. Surviving Mr. Langenkamp are one son, Anton Jr., and
four daughters, Miss Lillian of Washington, D.C., Miss Anna, Mrs. Henry Winkler
and Mrs. William Pawklitzki of Milwaukee.
