Tjodolf M. Larsen, 67, of 713 Huron St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday, March 19,
at Holy Family Hosptial, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Larsen was born Sept. 29, 1912, at Stavanger, Norway, son of the late Gerhard
and Bendicte Jorgensen Larsen. He grew up and was educated in Stavanger and was e
mployed by the State of Norway at the Vinmonopolet, retiring in 1972. He married
Astrid Hjemeland in Norway. She preceded him in death in 1963. He married Sylivia
Jackson Monka July 28, 1969, at Manitowoc and immigrated to the United States and
Manitowoc in September, 1974. Mr. Larsen was a member of the Frimurerloger of
Stavanger, Norway.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia, a son, Bruce Monka of Portland, Ore.; a
daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Joseph Kirschner of Fredonia, Wis.; a brother
and sister-in-law, Kare Arnefeldt and Lilian Larsen and two sisters, Miss Birgit
Larsen and Mrs. Carrie Sovik of Stavanger, nine grandchildren and nieces and
nephews.
There will be no visitation.
