ANN MARIE LARSON

Ann Marie Larson, age 67, of 936 N. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, July 27, 1997, at home following a battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 1997, at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Kenneth Okkerse will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

She was born January 14, 1930, at Evansville, Ind., daughter of the late Karl E. and Helen M. Derrwaldt Zimmerman. Ann was educated in the Evansville Public Schools, then attended the University of Evansville and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. She married William G. Larson at Evansville, Ind., on February 4, 1953. She and her husband have been Manitowoc residents the past 44 years. Ann has been a very active member of St. James Episcopal Church and she was very active in numerous civic, service, and special interest groups. Among them were the American Association of University Women (AAUW), the Junior Service League, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Holy Family Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Manitowoc County Historical Society, the Manitowoc County Genealogical Society, the Wisconsin State Historical Society, and the Girl Scouts.

Survivors include her husband, William G. Larson, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael G. and Wendy A. Larson, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane E. and Darrel Brauer, Sussex, Wis.; four granddaughters, Rachael (sic) M. Vreeke, Heather L. Larson, Brooke E. Hartman, and Emily E. Brauer; one sister, Ruth H. Zimmerman, Evansville, Ind.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorena and Don Boneham, Pembine, Wis., Clarence and Frances Larson, Janesville, Wis., Mae Freiss, Marinette, Wis., Margaret and James Williams, Marinette, Wis., John and Ethel Larson, Gulf Port, Fla., Marilyn and James Gould, Peshtigo, Wis., Judith and Harry Wendel, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; a special niece, Barbara Boelter, Glendale, Wis. Also surviving are other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Eleanor Boelter; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Boelter and Kenneth Freiss.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for St. James Episcopal Church.
