Walter L. Larson, 85, of 626 S. 31st St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 30, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Reformed United Church of Christ. Rev. Arthur Willie will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Larson was born June 7, 1898, at Valders, Wis., son of the late Theodore and Rena Lotten Larson. He attended school in Valders. He married Iva S. Huhn on Nov. 27, 1929, in the Town of Cato. He was employed for Strick Oil Co. for six years and later joined the Thomas Larson Chevrolet Co. of Valders and was part owner and retired in 1968. Mr. Larson was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a former Deacon and Elder. He was a member of the Men's Club and Commercial Travelers.
Survivors include his wife, Iva; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Irene Larson of Valders; a sister, Mabel Stenson of Valders, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday and then from noon to the time of services at the church. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Larson's name.
