Curtis Lawrence, 66, of 811-A Quay St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Madison, following a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Gervase Zanotti officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Graveside services will be by Manitowoc VFW Post 650.
Mr. Lawrence was born Dec. 22, 1898, at Manitowoc, son of the late Lewis and Mary Allen Lawrence. He was employed as a buffer at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc, until his retirement a year ago. He married Estell Spatz August 21, 1930, at Manitowoc. He served in World War I overseas and was a member of Hdg. Co. of the 128th Infantry and saw action in the battles of Aisne-Marne, Oise-Aisne and Meuse-Argonne sectors.
Among survivors are his wife; three sons, James of El Paso, Texas, Jerome of Madison and Lyman of Davenport, Iowa; a brother, William of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Kolanshek of Maniotwoc (sic) and Mrs. Vernon McNamars of Milwaukee and nine grandchildren.
