Mrs. Curtis (Estelle) Lawrence, 80, formerly of 811A Quay St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Duane Mills, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Sheboygan, will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lawrence, nee Estelle Spatz, was born Sept. 16, 1898 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Elgin Sims Spatz. She was educated in Manitowoc schools and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was married to Curtis Lawrence Aug. 21, 1920, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 21, 1963. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the G.U.G. Germania Society, VFW Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and Women's Relief Club.
Survivors include three sons, James of Houston, Tex., Jerome of Tempe, Ariz., and Lyman of Davenport, Iowa, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Marie Morrison, preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon and Tuesday until the time of service.
