Anton H. Lefky, 89, of 1127 Waldo Blvd, died Friday noon at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc. He had been in ill health the past several months.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, the Rev. E. A. Radey officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lefky was born March 14, 1877, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Ignatz
and Franciska Lefky.
He was graduated from Manitowoc Business School of Bookkeeping in 1915 and
operated a farm in the Town of Gibson for a short time before moving to Manitowoc
where he was employed as a carpenter until 1929.
He became a licensed real estate broker in 1929 and followed this business activity
until his recent illness.
Mr. Lefky married Emilia Skarvan in November, 1902, at Kellnersville. The couple
celebrated its 63rd wedding anniversary in 1965.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Clarence C. and Anton F. of Manitowoc, two
daughters, Mrs. Herman (Alvina) Springer of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frank (Clara)
Stransky of McAllen, Texas; a brother, Frank of Greenleaf; five grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be
recited at 7:30 p.m. by the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.
