CLARENCE LEFKY

Mr. Clarence G. Lefky, 74, of 1805 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William Zimmer, and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lefky was born July 7, 1909 at Larabee, Wis., son of the late Anton and Emmalia Skarvan Lefky. Mr. Lefky graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1927. He then attended Ripon College, graduating in 1933 with degrees in physics and math. While in college, he participated in the ROTC Program, and received a commission as a 1st Lieutenant in United States Army. Mr. Lefky married the former Victoria Meyer on July 10, 1933 at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. For several years he was a teacher at University of Wisconsin Extension in Manitowoc, Coleman, Valders, and Wrightstown. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria; a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Lefky of Manitowoc; a brother and a sister-in-law, Anton F. and Harriett Lefky of Manitowoc; a sister and a brother-in-law, Clara and Frank Stransky of Texas, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alvina Springer.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
