Mrs. Henry Lehmkuhl, 85, of 1516 South 10th street, died Sunday at the Holy
Family hospital, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wesley Methodist
church, the Rev. J. L. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
She was born Bertha Eberhardt in Newton in 1863 and in 1880 was married to Mr.
Lehmkuhl. They moved to this city in 1902. The couple observed their golden
wedding in 1930. Mr. Lehmkuhl died in 1933. She was a member of the Mission
society and the Women’s Society of Christian Service.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Risch and Mrs. Lillie Jandre of this
city; brother, August of this city; sister, Mrs. Minnie Bruckschen of St.
Louis; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Two daughters and a son preceded her in death.
The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer funeral home after Tuesday noon and will
be moved to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday to lie in state until the hour of
services.
