LORRAINE A. LEIDER
Lorraine A. Leider, age 87, of 1925 Andrea Lane, Manitowoc, died Friday morning,
July 31, 2009, at Laurel Grove Assisted Living, Manitowoc.
Lorraine was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late John O. and
Ella (Mueller) Johnson. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers,
Class of 1940. On Oct. 24, 1942, she married Daniel K. (Don) Leider in Two Rivers.
The couple moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1972, where Don was employed with Bay Ship-
building Corporation, returning to Manitowoc upon retirement in 1987. He preceded
her in death on March 18, 1994.
Our beloved mother and grandmother loved her Lord and his church and was known for
her vocal talent, her gardening skills and her many hours of volunteer work. She
taught Sunday school at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc and St.
Peter's Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Lorraine was a member of the Ladies Circle
and a preschool volunteer at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc where
she is currently a member. She also was a volunteer for the Two Rivers Historical
Society. Lorraine will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She also was preceded in death by her two sisters, Evelyn Hynek and Claire Williams,
and a niece, Kay Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Thomas Pankow
with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009,
until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Manitowoc Lutheran High School, Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
