Mrs. Charles H. Regina M. Leider, 68, of 2202 LaFollette Ave., Manitowoc, died
Saturday morning, Jan. 26, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Private family service will be held on Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Leider was born June 10, 1911, in the Township of Forestville in Door County,
daughter of the late Charles and Elisabeth Klein Ruether. She grew up and attended
local schools in Door County moving to Manitowoc in 1926 and she graduated from
Lincoln High School in 1929. She had been a Manitowoc resident since that time.
Mrs. Leider was employed at Mirro Company in the clerical department and also
worked for the Mirro Credit Union retiring in 1967. She was married to Charles H.
Leider Aug. 30, 1930, in the Township of Forestville, WI., he preceded her in death
Dec. 11, 1971. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and she
helped prepare the ECHO church newspaper for mailing, a member of the local chapter
of the American Cancer Society, she was formerly active in the scouting program and
was a former member of the Band and Orchestra Mothers of Lincoln High School.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Cheryl Leider of Traverse City,
MI., two daguhters and son-in-law, Dianne and Glenn Kruse of Berlin, WI. and Debra
and Peter Bauer of Milwuakee; sisters, Mrs. Mabel Peterson and Miss Ronita Ruether
both of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was
preceded in death by a infant daughter and a infant brother.
There will be no visitation. Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements. A memorial will be established in her name.
