EASTMAN LESLIE

Eastman (Whitey) Leslie, 69, died of a coronary attack at his apartment, 721
York St., Manitowoc, Saturday evening.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
Capt. Jack Keyle of the Salvation Army will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery with graveside military rites by Drews-Bleser Post No. 88,
American Legion.
Mr. Leslie was born at Glenville, Ind., Feb. 4, 1893, and came to Manitowoc as
a young man. Until retiring four years ago he had been employed 17 years at
Savoy Café. A veteran of World War I, he served as a private first class with
the Army from Sept. 22, 1917 to July 24, 1919, with 296th Company, Military
Police corps.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Schroeder of Manitowoc and Mrs. Robert
Skippon of Sturgeon Bay; three sons, Raymond of Brillion, William of Manitowoc
and Robert of Larrabee; three half-brothers, Joseph and Albert Maxey of Sheboygan
and Roy Maxey of Milwaukee; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
