Mrs. Hilma P. Lettenberger, 89, of 1402 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday,
March 18, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will
officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lettenberger, nee Hilma Petronella Isselman, was born Sept. 29, 1894, at
Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Lenz Isselman. She was married
to Norbert Lettenberger, June 27, 1927, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
He preceded her in death March 10, 1970. Mrs. Lettenberger was an honorary member
of St. Ann Christian Mother Altar Society of the St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Peter J. and Barbara Lettenberger of
Waukesha, Wis; a daughter, Nancy Rutherford of Manitowoc; two brothers, George
Isselman of the State of new Jersey and Edward Isselman of the State of Pennsylvania;
a son-in-law, Seeman Blossfeld of Livonia, Mich; 15 grandchildren and a great
granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Lettenberger Blossfeld,
five sisters, Ida Bodwin, Bertha Wattawa, Linda Pratt, Helen Pilger and Marie Isselman.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday,
where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. by St. Ann Christian Mother, Altar Society,
relatives and friends.
