JACOB LEU, SR.

Jacob Leu, Sr., 84 (photo), of 906 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Monday at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. A. C. Fischer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born Dec. 31, 1871, in [Rohrbach] Bern, Switzerland, and in 1889 came to the United States, locating [near Taylor, Williamson County] in Texas, where in 1906 he married Miss Henrietta Leverenz. They moved to Manitowoc [Wisconsin] in 1915. His wife died in 1940. Until his retirement in 1943, he was employed at the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Co.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Stoer of Milwaukee; three sons, Jacob Jr., of Mason City, Iowa, Albert of Manitowoc, Walter of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, and a great grandchild.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
