Mrs. Blanch Levenhagen, 83, formerly of 1121 N. Ninth St.,
Manitowoc, died Monday norning at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Jens
Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Levenhagen, nee Blanch Stephany, was born Nov. 10, 1889,
at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth
Schwarzenbart Stephany. She attended schools in Manitowoc and
was a graduate of the old South Side High School with the Class
of 1906. She was married to Carl Levenhagen July 27, 1927, at
Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.
She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and Altar
Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the Maryknoll Mission Society,
U.T.C. Auxiliary, Woman's Club, Lions Auxiliary and Homemakers'
Club.
Survivors include a brother E.J., of Redwood Falls, Minn., a sister,
Mrs. H.W. Hofmann, of Framingham, Mass., and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
where the Daughters of Isabella service will be held at 5:15 p.m.
and a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.
