Fred Levenhagen, 65, of 830 North Eighth St., lifelong resident of
this city, died this morning at the Maple Crest Sanitorium, Whitelaw,
where he has been a patient for several weeks. He had been ill since
June.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, the Rev. Theo Uetzmann officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Levenhagen was born in this city in 1877, and after completing
school, learned the plumbing trade. He was employed for many years
by Manitowoc plumbing firms and later worked at the Manitowoc Ship
Building company and the Burger Boat Company.
Thirty-eight years ago he married Miss Meta Brey of this city. She
survives with a daughter Meta, of this city; two sons, Earl and
Frederick, of this city; brother, Paul, of this city; six sisters,
Marie and Sophia, Mrs. A. H. Dummer, Mrs. L. H. Vetting, all of
Manitowoc, Mrs. Ia Bradford and Lizette of Chicago; and four
grandchildren.
The body may be viewed Saturday evening after seven o'clock at the
funeral home.
