Mrs. Edward Lewis, 77, of 1115A S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Saturday
at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Baufuss will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lewis, nee Agnes Ann Tubman, was born June 4, 1896 at Lancashire, England,
daughter of the late John and Anna Mossop Tubman. She attended schools in England.
She was married to Edward Lewis Aug. 5, 1918 in England. They came to the United
States in 1921, residing in Ely, Minn., and moving to Manitowoc in 1923. Her
husband preceded her in death in 1955.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Audrey Lewis, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Jack
(Lenora) Nelson, of South Bend, Ind.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews. Five brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 7 to 9 o’clock this Friday afternoon and
Saturday until the time of service.
