GEORGE LISKA

George J. Liska, 63, of 1121 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday night in University Hospital-Madison. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Liska was born January 14, 1915 in Stangelville, son of the late John and Margaret Christman Liska. He moved to Manitowoc in 1928, residing here since and married Lorena Schnuell March 5, 1935. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a machinist at Manitowoc Engineering for 34 years and was also a gun smith by trade. He was a past member of National Rifle Association of America and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife; a son, George C. and a son and daughter-in-law, Keith C. and Marilynn of Manitowoc; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret and Albert Czckala of Manitowoc and Cynthia and Jerry Simona of Madison and a daughter, Gloria Cox of Gainesville, Fla.; a step-brother, Alvin Ansorge and a step-sister, Mrs. Irene Cragstad of Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild. His step-mother, Mrs. Pauline Liska and a brother, Ralph preceded him in death.
