MRS. J. LORENZ PASSES AWAY AT AGE OF 74 YEARS
Mrs. John Lorenz, aged 74 years, a resident of this county for 49 years, died
of complications at the Lorenz homestead in the town of Manitowoc Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Edward Zell Monday afternoon,
at the home at 1:30 o’clock and at the Rockland Lutheran church at 2 o’clock.
Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs. Lorenz, whose maiden name was Minnie Daugs, was born in Germany Sept. 26,
1857. She was married to John Lorenz 49 years ago, and they emigrated to this
country shortly after their marriage, coming directly to Manitowoc county.
Her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Martha Sand, died three years ago. She is
survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clara Mandel, Two Rivers, and three sons, Albert,
Mishicot, Emil, Kossuth, and Herman, at the old homestead and 18 grandchildren.
