Mrs. Josephine M. Loritz, 73, of 909 S. 31st st., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient eight days.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Clement P. Kern
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Loritz, nee Josephine M. Holzer, was born Sept. 19, 1893, in the Town of
Schleswig, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Bazel Holzer. She was a lifelong
resident of Manitowoc County, a member of the Christian Mothers Altar Society of
St. Paul parish and a member of St. Mary Mission Society of Chilton.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Beatrice) More of Rt. 1, Whitelaw,
Mrs. Lloyd (Marie) Ford of Valley Park, Mo., Mrs. Lucian (Jean Marie) Hartsack
of El Paso, Texas, and Miss Gladys Loritz, Mrs. Arthur (Cerella) Schlei, Mrs.
Alex (Delphia) Kubacky and Mrs. Richard (Marlene) Ratajczak of Manitowoc; six
sons, Kenneth and Floyd (Whitte) of Manitowoc, Lester of Rt. 2, Valders, Clemens
of Springfield, Mass., Charles of Rt. 2, Reedsville, and Gerald of Chilton; two
sisters, Mrs. Philip Hartman of Manitowoc and Mrs. Edwin Schrieber of Rt. 2, Kiel;
three brothers, Herman of St. Nazianz, Henry of Kiel and Joseph of Belgium, Wis.;
34 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A sister, a brother and two grand-
children preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will
be recited at 7 p.m. by members of the Altar Society, relatives and friends.
