Lester F. Lowe, 58, of Lombardy drive, died suddenly of a heart attack at
his home Monday night.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian
church, the Rev. C.H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
He was born in 1891, at Logansport, Ind., and in 1919 married Miss Helen
DeBall. He came to this city in 1934 and with his three brother's organized
the Lowe-Chevrolet agency here. In 1936 he joined the Kortas Automotive
company as a salesman. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of
Company A, 347th machine gun battalion. He served in Germany and France. He
belonged to the Otto Oas post, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. James Kiesner and Dorothy,
both of this city; two sons, Sgt. Lester Lowe of Fort Sheridan, Ill., and
Louis of this city; two brothers, William of Raymondsville, Texas, and Jay
of Logansport; a sister, Mrs. Earl Schneider of Logansport and six grand-
children.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home until 10 a.m.
Thursday when the casket will be moved to the church.
Military rites will be accorded at the grave by the Otto Oas post.
